Tutorial - Ventrilo

Ventrilo is something we require for raiding/PvP and as such is something all hearty members of the following will need to download, install and other wise use.

If you are unsure about how to install and use ventrilo please follow the steps below.

Step 1. (Diagram)

Go to the Vent website at http://www.ventrilo.com/

Step 2.

Click on the 'Downloads' link and download the latest verson.

Step 3.

Wait for the download to finish

Step 4.

Double click on the icon on your desktop (or wherever you saved the file too) and run through the intall program.

Step 5.

Once the Program is open click on the arrow beside the 'User Name:' text field, then click 'New' and under your character's name. Click 'OK'

Step 6.

Next enter the server details as below. Clck the arrow besides the 'Server' text field. Click 'New' and name the server (PuddleVent). Enter the information as follows and click 'Ok'

Hostname or IP: 69.12.87.170
Port Number: 2377

There is no password unless Genesia has given you a personal one (which you can ask for)

Step 7.

Go to 'Setup' and click the first three boxes. Then go to the 'Hotkey' text field. Click inside the field with your mouse THEN press the button you want to use as your talk key and click 'OK'

Step 8.

Click 'Connect' and join a channel!

Use vent to talk to your friends!
